2010 - Best Wildlife, Annual New Mexico Photographic Arts Show

This photograph of a Rufous-Tailed Hummingbird was taken on April 14, 2010 at Rancho Naturalista in Costa Rica. Rancho Naturlista is a beautiful lodge in the Caribbean Rainforest, not far from the Turrialba Volcano. This colorful hummingbird feeds on nectar and small insects, and can be quite territorial over feeding areas.
